Bookings:

  • To book your spot now, visit our ticket purchase page.
  • Bookings are not mandatory, but highly recommended during peak periods such as the summer construction holidays, Christmas break, and spring break.
  • Bookings are non-refundable.
  • We also sometimes receive large groups, and to provide the best service, we block time slots online. We recommend checking availability online before your visit.

All children 15 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult.

How long should I plan for the visit?
We suggest you visit the Attractions Québec page here to learn more about all the activities offered, their descriptions, and their duration.

Here is the average time guests spend on each activity:

  • Aviary: 20 to 30 minutes
  • Playground: 1 to 2 hours
  • Mirror maze: 5 to 10 minutes
  • Mini-golf: 35 to 50 minutes

Each guest is different, and the duration of your experience may therefore vary. Furthermore, it’s possible to miss part of the experience if you don’t take your time. For example, the aviary can be completed in 5 minutes if you don’t linger over the dozens of different butterfly species, the information panels, and the educational video, and if you don’t ask questions of our staff, who will be happy to tell you more.

If you have any questions or comments about your experience, please don’t hesitate to contact our team, who will be happy to assist you.

What should I bring?
Socks are mandatory for everyone entering the center. No shoes or boots, even indoor ones, are permitted.

  • You may not bring food for the butterflies; nectar sticks will be provided free of charge to help you approach them.
  • You may not bring food or drinks except for a bottle of water. Bringing a bottle of water is recommended as the temperature in the aviary is approximately 27 degrees Celsius (81 degrees Fahrenheit).

A changing room is also available for your personal belongings. If you are concerned about leaving an item unattended in the changing room, please speak with our staff.
  • The space is wheelchair accessible, and only official service dogs are permitted. No other animals are allowed.

Playground:

  • Food and drinks are not permitted in the play structure.
  • The toddler area is strictly reserved for children aged 3 and under.
  • Please ensure that young children who are still toilet-trained have the necessary protective gear to prevent damage to the play equipment.
  • It is recommended not to bring toys into the play structure as it is very large and they could easily get lost.
  • The area is not wheelchair accessible, but the 0-3 year old area can be used as a semi-accessible space. Ask our staff for assistance if needed.

Mirror maze:

  • You may not bring food or drinks as you must have your hands free.
  • You can leave your bags or purchases at the checkout or with the employee at the entrance.
  • As space is limited, please do not bring large bags.
  • You cannot enter with a stroller or wheelchair as the space is too small. Stroller parking is available nearby.

Mini-golf :

  • Food and beverages are prohibited.
  • Animals other than official service dogs are not allowed.
  • The area is wheelchair accessible, but may be difficult to navigate if you wish to play. Please ask the staff on site regarding your specific accessibility needs.

What is the difference between the Brossard, Laval and Quebec ?
The Brossard location is a 10,000 sq. ft. facility located in Quartier DIX30 in Brossard since 2017. It’s our first location, the only one with an indoor treetop adventure course, and the one with the largest aviary: a 5,000 sq. ft. room with a water feature fed by a large waterfall. The space is the most immersive, with Bfly characters around every corner and the largest nursery. You’ll also find a play structure and maze, though smaller than at our other locations. It’s also the only location that offers the Crystal Quest. Contact us with any questions at [email protected].

The Laval location has been open since December 2025, near the intersection of Highway 440 and Curé-Labelle Boulevard, in a shared building with nearly 22,000 sq. ft. of play space. You’ll find an aviary housed in 7-meter domes, allowing for closer interaction with the butterflies, and an 18-hole animal-themed mini-golf course. The mirror maze and play structure are twice the size of the one in Brossard, with a larger area for children aged 0-3. For birthday parties, the center offers two enclosed party rooms and a large mezzanine space. Contact us with any questions at [email protected].

The Quebec City location has moved several times, but will finally open its doors in the summer of 2026 in an exclusive building with 21,000 sq. ft. of space on Boulevard de l’Ormière, near the Pickleball and Arbraska centers. The Quebec City location will be quite similar to the Laval location, with the enormous play structure, the aviary in the domes, and the 18-hole mini-golf course. We’ve kept the 9-hole nighttime course from Galeries, but added a 9-hole daytime course with more animals. For parties, you’ll be well catered for with 3 party rooms available in addition to the mezzanine. Contact us if you have any questions at [email protected].

The Bfly butterfly aviary stands out from other aviaries with its magical and educational atmosphere, perfect for taking photos with family or as a couple. We go to great lengths to provide the best possible living conditions for our butterflies, with daily maintenance of the aviary and nursery areas, specialized fruit and plant trays, and an environment perfectly suited to their needs in terms of space, temperature, and humidity. If you see butterflies with damaged wings, it means they are living a long and healthy life free from predators. Furthermore, we collaborate with our supplier in Costa Rica on rainforest and butterfly conservation.

Do you accept groups and children's parties?
Give your child an unforgettable birthday!

Children’s birthday parties are available at the center with basic packages including 6 children and 2 adults. You can choose a package with a table on the mezzanine or with a private room, always with our entertainer who will make your experience truly special. Learn more on our dedicated birthday page here!

A new experience available in town for groups

Groups of 12 to 400 people are welcome at our center with packages tailored to your needs. Learn more on our dedicated group page here. Can’t find the experience you’re looking for? Contact us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to create a unique experience tailored to your needs.

Is the site well suited to my specific needs?
Socks: Boots, shoes, or sandals are not permitted inside. Everyone must wear socks, and being barefoot is not allowed. If you have any special needs, please contact us before your visit to confirm them, and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Strollers: Our site is well-suited for strollers, except that strollers are not permitted in the aviary or the mirror maze. You may bring your stroller for the visit to the movie theater, but you will be asked to leave it in the stroller parking area just before entering the aviary. Umbrella strollers are provided in the aviary free of charge.

Wheelchairs or other mobility aids: Our site is wheelchair accessible and uses other mobility aids. Accessible restrooms are available on-site, and we have ground-level function rooms. The aviary and the mini-golf course have no lower door thresholds. The daytime mini-golf course has slopes and may be difficult to play on your own. The mirror maze and play structure are not accessible. The toddler area of the play structure is partially accessible, and we would be happy to grant you access upon request.

Pets: Only official guide dogs are permitted on the tour. No other animals, including emotional support animals, are allowed. Please present proof of your pet’s status upon arrival.

Autistic and Neurodivergent Visitors: Autistic individuals are welcome at Bfly. Please note that we recommend bringing earplugs and a hat or sunglasses for the aviary visit, as we have music and the lighting for the plants can be intense. If you need a place to relax, please contact our team, who will be happy to assist you.

Other: If you have any other specific needs, such as limited vision or deafness, please inform our staff and we will do our best to adapt the experience to your requirements. Feel free to contact us in advance by email at [email protected] if you would like to plan your visit.

How is the space suitable for families?
Our team is well-trained to ensure the safety of your children, but please note that all children 15 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult during the visit.

Personal strollers are not permitted in the aviary or the maze. You may bring your stroller for the visit to the movie theater, but you will be asked to leave it in the stroller parking area just before entering the aviary. Small strollers will be available for loan free of charge inside the aviary to prevent butterflies from escaping.

A breastfeeding area is available. As bringing any beverages other than water into the aviary is prohibited, bottle-feeding is not allowed in the aviary. If a bottle is brought into the aviary, we must keep it frozen for one week before giving it to you. You may feed your baby elsewhere in the center, including in the breastfeeding room.

The restrooms have an accessible stall that you may use if needed. The baby changing area is located inside.

Each child will be given a foam stick for the visit. These are very helpful for preventing children from touching the butterflies with their hands. You will be shown how to use the foam sticks to pick up the butterflies at the entrance to the aviary.

What facilities are available on site?
A cloakroom is available for the duration of your visit. Please note that we are not responsible for stolen items, and we recommend leaving your belongings in your car if possible.

Restrooms and a breastfeeding area are available on-site.

We have a large gift shop where you can purchase souvenirs after your visit.

The aviary consists of four domes, each 7 meters in diameter. It’s quick to walk around if you’re not enjoying the butterflies. We have approximately 60 species of butterflies in the aviary at any one time, and hundreds more flying freely, so take your time to find them, interact with them, and take photos with the different species.

How can I give Bfly as a gift?
We have gift cards available on our website and in store. Be sure to choose the right gift card for Quebec.
Can I leave with cocoons or butterflies?
It is forbidden to leave with dead or alive cocoons or butterflies. This is for the safety of our environment in Quebec and the safety of our butterflies. You must leave any coats and jackets in the cloakroom, and you must leave your shopping bags at the checkout counter or with your coat. You will be asked to check carefully when leaving the aviary that you do not come out with butterflies unintentionally. You may be asked by our employees to check your pockets or bags, as they like to slip into the most unexpected places.

It is also not possible for us to give away or sell dead butterflies from our aviary.

You can buy frames and domes with butterflies without the risk of contamination in the store.

How are the butterflies treated?
The butterflies’ wings are damaged:

The butterflies in the aviary are protected from their natural enemies, such as large bodies of water where they could drown, or from birds. Because we provide our butterflies with a good quality of life, they live longer, and therefore their wings have time to deteriorate. Don’t be sad; it proves they’ve had a long and happy life!

The plants are made of plastic:

Butterflies use plants for two reasons: to feed and to hide. We therefore have plants with natural flowers in the aviary to feed them, and we offer them a wide variety of spaces to hide and rest. Butterflies don’t mind whether the plant they use to rest on is real or artificial.

Temperature and environment:

The butterflies are our partners. There are many logistical challenges we must overcome to operate an aviary for exotic butterflies. That’s why the temperature is kept above 25 degrees Celsius, as this is their ideal temperature. But there are also many other things we need to do behind the scenes. Rest assured, we do everything we can to provide them with the best possible life so they can put on a magnificent show for our clients.

Maintenance:

We clean the aviary and the nursery daily to ensure a healthy living environment. Rest assured, no harmful products are used for cleaning. Furthermore, our fruit trays are perfectly suited to the butterflies’ needs. Do you know what the brown fruit you’ll find there is? It’s a banana. Butterflies don’t like green or even yellow bananas, as they have the most sugar when they are brown.

We also participate in their conservation!

We work with our supplier in Costa Rica to conserve the rainforest and butterflies in their natural environment. Butterflies are a gift, let’s protect them together.
